About GoneSeaKayaking.comGoneSeakayaking.com was launched to provide an online community where kayakers of all skill and interest levels can converge to provide and receive information on everything kayak-related throughout North America and throughout the world. We welcome your input on events, classes and any resources to help paddlers get in boats and on the water! If your like to write or take photos, we'd love for you to submit your work. We'll regularly add articles from our members. Send us your trip reports, tips and techniques, personal experiences, book recommendations, upcoming event info… we'll do our best to post relevant articles and current information. So who are "we" anyway? GoneSeakayaking.com was the brainchild of two collaborators: Ann, Graphic Design Grunt Hopefully, thanks to Ann, this site is pleasing to the eye, well-organized and easy to navigate. Ann is a long-time kayaker (though by no means an expert!). She met her husband, David, while paddling along the Southern California coast. Some say a harbor seal introduced them, but that's a story for another day. Their son, Zeke, of course is a kayaker. He was first on the water in a canoe at age 2 months, and held his first paddle before age 2. Now at the ripe old age of 9, he's tired of paddling in the double with dad and wants his own boat. Mary, Web Programming Guru Though not a kayaker (yet), Mary is the expert on everything web-related. It's through her tireless effort that this site runs smoothly and efficiently. And thanks to her search engine optimization expertise, you've actually found us! |
